Palette from Image
Upload a photo, drag eyedroppers to sample, tune mood, and export — or open the generator to build harmonies from your extracted colors.
Processed in your browser — photos never leave your device.
When to extract from a photo
Brand and marketing teams often start from photography — product shots, lifestyle imagery, or campaign references. Extracting a palette anchors UI and print work to what audiences already associate with the visual.
Designers auditing existing interfaces can screenshot a product and pull its accent and neutral colors into a structured palette for documentation or a redesign.
Mood boards and Pinterest references become starting points: extract, then switch to the Wheel or Adjust tabs to rebalance harmonies before export.
Privacy and workflow
Color extraction uses canvas sampling in your browser. Photos stay on your device unless you choose to share a palette link — only the encoded color values travel in the URL, not the image file.
After extraction, use the same export paths as the main palette generator: CSS variables, Tailwind config snippets, ASE for Adobe tools, SVG swatches, and instant share links for collaborators.
